A masterful study and French reproduction of Raphael's famous Renaissance painting entitled "The Virgin in the Chair", ("Madonna della seggiola") this circular oil-on-canvas piece dates from the nineteenth century. It was commissioned for a for a church in France and unsigned, as religious works were often not signed. A truly special piece to bring life to an empty wall or complement a gallery wall with a touch of French history. Painting has been restored and is unframed.
