The bird of paradise flower is exotic and colorful.  In these two floral paintings on 12 x 12-inch canvases, I wanted to design the pointy shapes of the flowers into something that made me feel happy and light-hearted.  The background is a metallic silver, which brightens any room as the sheen bounces light around.  There is also some metallic shine in the blues.  The classic combination of orange, blue, and green makes a lovely floral pattern.
